Forget about the normal norm!

The way you communicate in business with your ideal clients/customers is very important. Language should not be a barrier for you to reach out to your ideal clients/customers.

Yes it is good to speak English but it is not compulsory you use it always when trying to advertise or close a business deal.

From experience, speaking and writing the language your ideal clients/customers makes communication easier and closing business deals faster.

I learnt something from the Chinese, they don’t joke with their language, they are not ashamed of their language anyday, anywhere. So why are you limiting yourself in terms of communication with your ideal clients/customers. If it is pidgin, yoruba, igbo, hausa etc that will make communication effective and saves you some stress between you and your ideal client/customers why not go ahead and write it or speak it.

Must you follow the speaking and writing of oyinbo opere(English) because everybody is doing it or it is the normal norm. Why don’t you just be yourself, at the end it is the result that matters.

For example, you are a food vendor who cooks all kind of Ibo soups, most of your ideal clients/customers will be Ibos definitely. When you are writing or speaking to your ideal clients/customers, you should use ibo language and sometimes English language for others who might not understand the language.

There is a delivery company that sends messages to me on a daily basis, they will use Yoruba, English and Pidgin to effectively communicate their services. This caught my attention, that I had to patronize them despite the fact I have others I use.

๐Ÿ‘‰The next time you are complaining client/customers are not relating with your message or finding it hard to close a business deal, check the language you use to communicate.

Don’t you know who I am?

If you are doing business and you let pride or your ego set in, then you are not ready at all to do business. Some of us when we start making small change/ego/kudi, people will not hear word again, even their client/customers will hear it hot from them.

Isorite, keep driving clients/customer away with your attitude and when they don’t patronize you, you will be lying that it is the work of your village people. Iro nla(big lie)

The word “don’t you know who I am” will set in. Let me tell you some hard earned truth, owo ti mo ni mo fe ya yin ye(it is the money that I have, that I want to borrow you).

๐Ÿ‘‰Without your customers you are not in business, the money that is making you to boast “don’t you know whom i am” is customer’s money, that’s what made you to have mouth in the first place.

Let me make it simple๐Ÿ‘Ž

No Customer= No Business =No money

I know as business people, we have some difficult clients/customers but with patience you must learn to manage them.

Hear this๐Ÿ‘Ž

๐Ÿ‘‰Don’t ever mix professionalism with pride or rather take pride to be professionalism. Please for God’s sake they are two different things.

๐Ÿ‘‰You can be humble and still be professional in business at the same time.

Let me gist you ๐Ÿ‘Ž

A customer sent a message that she will like to buy one of our product, rice poundo. She only wanted 3 packs pere which cost N1500. She gave us time to deliver it, before you know it she will tell us don’t come again, am not at home. This lasted for almost a month.

I kept on doing follow up, I did not say afterall don’t you know who I am, why should I be stressing myself over a product worth N1500 pere when I have customers who buys more.

Finally, the client called that she will be available for the delivery and apologised that she was doing a course which was taking her time, that was the reason for the delay and she increased the number from 3 packs to 5packs. She said to me that “Thank you for your patience and persistence, you will go far in business” this was her exact words.

Fast forward to now, this client has bought over and over and has referred people to buy our product.

Let me tell you who I am o.

Me this small girl and God’s favourite, Oluwakemi representative of CK Signatures Ltd.

I am nothing why my God is something and everything, He is got my back always๐Ÿ˜

Give and take.

Life is about give and take.

For those in business and you are wondering why others are getting more customers and you are not getting, It’s not rocket science

The answer is simple.

๐Ÿ‘‰Prayer: Everything in life both good and bad needs prayer. Do you know business is spiritual. You want your business to flourish, you must settle it at the altar of prayer

๐Ÿ‘‰The other person is investing in paid/free trainings, courses, books and materials that will spur his/her business.

What do I mean?

That business you are doing today or you just want to start, you are not the first neither the last to venture into it. All you need to do is get knowledge from those who were once in your shoe/status today to help you succeed and avoid silly but costly mistakes.

When you get from their wealth of knowledge, you know/gain new things you have never come across or you will begin to see things differently from new perspective.

New Mindset(Positive)= Busineess Success

What you want to get/reap something, you must sow something, it could be your time, money and many more.

What is that thing you are sowing today, to reap a bountiful harvest in your business?

Business is give and take, you spend money, time etc to receive more.

How well are you investing in yourself and business?

How much are you spending or willing to spend to see your business/sales sky rocket.

Someone asked me, why do you like buying ebooks, attend trainings free/paid and spend a lot money on these things.

You know why?

I want to be a better version of myself always, a new me always, that’s my goal. I refuse to be stagnant o when others are skyrocketing their business.

I know some people will say, these trainings and ebook are expensive.

What happened to negotiation to get what you want or do further research till you get what you want.

Everything in life can not be free, there are some things you have to pay for to achieve your goal.

Please note this๐Ÿ‘Ž

Every sacrifice has a price tag.

๐Ÿ‘‰Another thing is advertising the right way.

This is a write up for another day. Watch out for it!

How to start and grow work from home business is a book of self, everything in the book are my true life experiences in business. In this book you will get to know every process you need to succeed in running a business from the comfort of your home especially for those who don’t have a huge amount of money to start any business.

I assure you cannot remain the same in terms of mindset about certain things in business if you read this book.

Thanks.

SELF DOUBT

Self doubt is one of Satanโ€™s best tricks. He keeps us frozen so that we will never achieve what God had in store for us, and itโ€™s all in the anticipation of what our mind THINKS will happen. Unfortunately, we often fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

Self doubt has made so many people to miss valuable opportunities that God has brought their way because these opportunities didn’t come in the package they envisage.

I love the story of Rahab, a prostitute in the city of Jericho who hid Joshua and the others who were sent as spies to the city.

She knows that God has given Israel the land of Canaan, and she acknowledges the Lord as the God of heaven and earth (Joshua 2:9-11). This was an opportunity of a lifetime to open a new chapter of her life, be called by a new name and ask for protection for her and her family during the Israelite invasion.Just imagined she had self doubt at the point the opportunity showed up, she will have missed a lifetime opportunity. Thank God, she didn’t. See what happened after grabbing the opportunity.

Rahab’s name appears three times in the New Testament.

๐Ÿ‘‰In Matthew 1, Rahab is one of only four women listed in the genealogy of Jesus;

๐Ÿ‘‰In Hebrews 11:31, she is one of the examples of faith lifted up for Christians to emulate; and

๐Ÿ‘‰In James 2:25, she is praised as one who was justified by works, not just by faith.

It seems to be the case, then, that the story of Rahab enjoyed some prominence in the early Christian community, as an example both of great faith and of good works.

The question here is when you see opportunities(positive ones), what do you do?

For me, I don’t take opportunities for granted, I quickly grab it, no dulling o๐Ÿ˜Šbecause I know someday it will be useful for me because opportunities lost is hard to regain.

In the past, i have lost some opportunities which I still regret today. Fast forward to now, I grab opportunities that come my way and don’t take them for granted because it will be useful the time I need it.

๐Ÿ‘Please permit this small girl to say this๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ‘‰Situations create opportunities but humility positions you to grab it and get more greater opportunities in life. Gbam!

Hope you got value.

Let me know in the comment section.

Thanks.

Covid-19 an Eye Opener

The advent of Covid-19 has made a lot businesses or companies to realise that most of their work can be done from home and they don’t need too many staffs anymore to achieve results. This is has led to downsizing of staffs in so many businesses or companies today which has led so many people jobless.

You might want to blame these businesses or companies for what they they did but the truth remains what you don’t need you don’t keep. It is simply called restructuring or restrategizing for these companies or businesses due to Covid-19 eye opener

The question here is what is your own eye opener? what have you learnt this period? Are you still that old same person? Are you restructuring or restrategizing your life or business?

Do you know change is a constant thing and inevitable? For every change you want to see happen in your life and business, there is a price or sacrifice attached to it from your part.

For me change has always been a constant thing because I know I have to keep developing myself. During the lockdown I did some paid training and also bought some ebook. All of these is to see that positive change happen in those areas I want it, most especially my business. I love opportunities and I don’t let it pass me by because opportunity lost is hard to regain.

What are you waiting for today to take that step? Money or time? From experience, you don’t let any of these two things to stop you in realising that positive change you want to see.

How to start and grow a work from home business is must read book and opportunity of a lifetime which you should not miss.

See you at the top๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks.

Lockdown is a blessing in disguise

When the lockdown started, I told myself I will like to explore a side of me which so many people don’t know about me which is “writing”. I love writing that I even have a big book, where I pen down various kind of experiences and new things I come accross in life. Me, I can write for Africa oh๐Ÿ˜‚.

When you have a meeting and you are looking for someone to write down every single details, that’s me, Akowe ko wura๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Business has not really afford me the time to consistently explore this part of me, talkless of sharing some of this experience of mine.

Before the lockdown, I met this wonder woman Adaeze Chianumba Okezie who told me I can share those pen down experiences of mine through a process that will afford me time to do other things. I kept thinking of her words, I don’t want those experience of mine to just wallow in my big book๐Ÿ˜. Here came the the opportunity to go through this life changing experiene during lockdown. Thank you ๐Ÿ‘ Adaeze for guiding me through! You are a rare gem! God bless you.

๐Ÿ‘ŒIts was worth it!

The result of the life changing experience is this book written by me, title:

๐Ÿ‘‰How to start and grow a work from home business.

Going down memory lane, 8yrs ago, I started a work from home business. My kind of business is a kind of business many dreaded to start because it is highly capitally intensive and can’t be done from home, what a misconception! I’m grateful to God that He has brought me this far๐Ÿ‘.

Thank God for Covid-19 lockdown, an eye opener, most people are beginning to see that a lot of businesses can be done from home. If many could just open their eyes and think out of the box, they will be solution to the problems around them.

I’m sorry to burst your bubbles, I am an addicted fan of “thinking out of the box”, I don’t let anything to hinder me, God’s willing to achieve my goals.

Making lemonades from lemons, that’s me๐Ÿ˜‚

Are you making lemonades from lemons ?
Please ponder on it!

Sorry to digress๐Ÿ™

How to start and grow a work from home business is a book of self-help. It takes you through the journey of how I started and grew my business and also shows a step by step guide how you too can do the same.

This Is a book for those without extensive knowledge and a layman who wants to start and grow a work from home business but does not know-how. Through my story, I illustrated how I turn my passion, hobbies, skills and interest into money-making ventures.

What you don’t know can be a huge setback or roadblock in your business. You may even make costly yet avoidable mistakes or errors which can cause you to lose a huge amount of money if care is not taken. Staying informed with knowledge and tips from those who were once at the stage where you find yourself now will help you to avoid pitfalls.

Even if you’ve never started a business before, digesting every information in this book can provide you with what you need to know about how to kick start and grow your own business.

Drum rolls๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ for the latest book in town

“How to start and grow a work from home business”

I thank God for the opportunity to do this, father I am grateful, your love โคfor me is overdo. Jesus you love me too much oh… I am blessed to be your child.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘I appreciate my wonderful husband who supported me in the course of writing this book. God will continue to bless you, you shall continue to be head and not the tail. Greater heights for you always.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘My wonderful brother Alli Michael, thank you for your help always in the course of writing this book. God bless you and your family. Greater heights!

Cover book design by me

Incase you need a graphic designer, your child and sister is available o ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘I also appreciate a wonderful and amazing woman, Olawuyi Funmilola Opayinka for helping me edit this book. You are a rare gem! God bless you ma.

Complementary Product/Service.

โœA Complementary product/service is a product/service that adds value to another. In other words, they are two products/services that the consumer uses together. For example, cereal and milk, or a DVD and a DVD player, training and business consulting, coaching and mentorship etc. However, a complementary products/services can add value to the initial.

โœComplementary product/service is absolutely necessary, as is the case with petrol and a car. However, a complementary product can add value to the initial product. For instance, pancakes and maple syrup.

โœComplementary product/service is a product/service that adds value to another, or, a good that cannot be used without each other.

โœComplementary product/service that cannot be used without each other are known to have a strong relationship. In other words, when the price goes up on one, the demand goes down for the other good.Examples include: Tennis Balls and Tennis Racket; PlayStations and Games; Movies and Popcorn; and Mobile Phones and Sim Cards.

โœThese are products/services that goes hand with each other, that means they augment or complement one another. It also selling something else with a product/service you already established that will boost sales.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘‰Examples Of Complementary Product/Service

1. Tennis Balls and Tennis Racket.
2. Mobile Phones and Sim Cards.
3. Petrol and Cars.
4. Burger and Burger Buns.
5. PlayStation and Games.
6. Movies and Popcorn.
7. Shoes and Insoles.
8. Pencils and Notebooks.
9.Shoes and Protective spray.
10. Coaching and Mentoring.
11.Training and Business Consulting.
12. Shampoo and Conditioner

โ—As a business owner you should thinking of product/service that you will use to complement the product/service you already have because nobody wanted to stay on one particular product but you just need to have multiple streams of income.

โ—โ— As you proceed to into 2021 you need to ask yourself what are the products/ services that I can use to complement one another to give me an extra source of income.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘‰Another example of a complementary product is yoghurt and granola, they are both two perfect products that compliment one another because once you have your yoghurt you can take granola with it.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธCKS FOODS yoghurt and granola is available at pocket friendly prices.

Dm http://Fb.me/cksld or WhatsApp https://wa.me/2348028977213?text to order

Another example is training and business consulting, coaching and mentoring

2021 is fast approaching, please think of products/services you can use to complement the ones you already have or the existing ones.

Please let me know in the comment other complementary product/service you know.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks.

What to Add?

โœAs an enterpreneur or a business owner when you start selling/offering a product/service, as time goes on there will be this burning desire or need to add more products/services to the already existing one or customers will begin to request for other products/services.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธWhen I started CK Signatures Limited with cliq fresh liquid soap and continued selling the liquid soap until we had a breakthrough in the Lagos Island market, after several supply the customers who will supply to started requesting for shampoo. As a result of this we introduced the product. After we introduced shampoo, they also requested for conditioner and some other products too which we have noted.

โœThis is a normal norm that happens when you as an enterpreneur or business owner starts with a product/service, customers will request or give you clues on what products/services to add directly or indirectly.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธWhen we started selling yoghurt and granola, there is a place where we usually supply granola to them. I noticed one day that they now sell groundnut and chin chin in plastics and bottles, so I thought within me, if we could supply them cashew nut and prayed about it. Then I decided that upon my next visit there I was going to discuss it with them. Upon my next visit, after sorting out the supply of granola as usual, they requested if we can supply them cashew nut even without telling them about it and they never knew i have the intention to speak to them about it. In my mind i was just like is it the way God is confirming it that I should go ahead, i just told them soon we will start supplying them.

โœAnother way of knowing the products/services to add is you as a business owner doing your own market research to know what other products/services you can add to the existing ones you already have.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธAside from liquid soap and shampoo, I have always wanted us at Ck Signatures Ltd. to have food related products. As a result of research, the product rice poundo and ofada rice poundo was created. This time it was not a customer that asked for the products or suggested it. You can make your own research to know what products/services to add as a business owner or entrepreneur aside from customers requesting for it.

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅThe two major things for you to know what products/services to add to the existing one is to do your own market research and also customers requesting for it.

Bishop David Oyedepo said “business is spiritual.”

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธWhichever way you decide to follow out of this two, please prayerfully ask God about it to know if you are adding the right products/services because not all products/services you research or customers requested for is for YOU despite the fact that you have confirmed that it is profit oriented. There are some products/services you will venture into that you will have a hard time or serious challenges with. Though there is no business that does not have it’s own challenges but if it is God that is backing you up you will definitely overcome it.

๐Ÿ‘๐ŸฝPlease share your own methods in the comment section.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks.

The Little Oil Within

โœIn 2 kings 4:1-7, one of the sons of the prophet’s widow cried to Elisha that her husband’s creditors were coming to take her sons to offset the debt owed by her husband.

โ“The question Elisha asked her is what do you have? At first she said nothing but thank God she was able to remember and acknowledge that she has a little oil at home.

โœโœThe little oil represents what she has and was able to multiply it by following the instructions of the man of God, paid the creditors and even had more than enough for her and family.

โœโœโœSo many of us are like this widow who found herself in an awkward situation today and never knew or knew they have a little oil and what it can do. We all have our own little oil, you heard me right, Yes! Your own little oil could be the gifts, talents, knowledge given to you by God or a skill learnt.

โ“โ“What is that gift/gifts that you are not making use of? That is your little oil.

โ“โ“What is that talent/talents that you are not making use of? That is your little oil.

โ“โ“What is that knowledge you are not making use of? That is your little oil.

โ“โ“What is that skill/skills you are not making use of? That is your little oil.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธRemember the parables of the talents, one was given ten talents and multiplied it to get an extra ten, the other five talents, multiplied it to get an extra five and another one talent but allowed it to waste.

โ“โ“โ“Which of these people in this parable are you?

โ“โ“Are you using your talent/talents to get want you want?

โ“โ“Are you using your gift/gifts to get want you want?

โ“โ“Are you using your knowledge to get what you want?

โ“โ“Are you using your skills to get what you want?

๐Ÿ”ฅEvery little oil requires certain instructions or guidelines to be able to multiply it just like the widow who followed the instructions of Elisha to get what she want.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธYou need to keep improving your gifts, talents, knowledge or skills.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธRecently I wanted to attend an event, one of the gifts I have is writing, You know I love writing ๐Ÿ˜, an opportunity came for me to volunteer to write for someone without asking for anything in return because I saw it as a way of supporting the person and I was given a free VIP ticket in return.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธWhat I want you to note here is the write up gave me a free VIP ticket even though I did not ask anything in return for it which I could make cool money with if I want to.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธThere is nobody that is empty, you have one thing or the other that you can use to get what you want as far you are diligent with it.

Proverbs 22: 29, Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธAtimes you say money is the reason why you are not launching that business idea, talents, skills, knowledge, products etc.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธMoney is not the issue, You are the issue. Yes you heard me right!

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅChange your mindset and figure out that gift, talent, knowledge or skill you can learn and use it to render services to those who need it, if you will not be smiling with alert.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธI will use myself as an example, the nature of my business is more of products that are highly capital intensive than services, all I do is when I need money, I know the surest way to get money to launch some of my products when I don’t have enough money to launch is to start with a meagre amount of money or offer services using my skills, gifts , talents or knowledge.

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธAside from my own way of raising money for business, another way is to sell other people’s product, it’s called dropshipping. This does not require any money, all you need to do is advertise the products/services through any medium that will give you result, the owner of the product does the product delivery while you get a commission.

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅFor you to get what you want, the answer lies within

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅWhat you have is that value someone is looking for.

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅThat product/service you got the idea to create or start is what someone out there is looking for to satisfy their needs

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅThe gifts, talents, knowledge and skills you have is meant to satisfy people’s needs and yours, not to be put to waste.

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅBe intentional how you put your little oil within to use.

Hope you got value.

Thanks.
