Fire for fire approach.

You need to be professional with your response regarding enquiries made for your business and personal life on this space(social media).

I know there are so many provocative questions asked by different people here on this space but you need to calm down to savage the situation or ignore the questions because you have got an image and a brand to protect.

When I posted here(Facebook) on the book I wrote, in the midst of the congratulatory messages from people, someone said ” Has it come to this, lol”. What did I do?

I simply ignore the person because I know I have got my image and brand to protect.

People are watching and reading your posts/comments, your potential customers might just be among them and could possibly get turn off with the way you handle situations like this.

Don’t let your emotions rule you, your are more valuable and special. What happens to ignoring such comments. Not everyone will value or align with you or your opinions, save the energy you use to answer or retaliate to negative comment for those who value you.

Don’t let this little thing you count as insignificant now tarnish the glorious future you have ahead of you.

Remember social media saves your posts and comment. A word is enough for the wise.

I come in peace.

Thanks.

Business goes beyond buying and selling.

Most people are of the opinion that business involves buying and selling of goods and services only, that is why everyone has turned to a business owner today.

Not everyone is a business owner in the name of afterall I buy things, sell them and I make profit.

You heard me! Yes

Starting and running a business goes beyond buying and selling but could be a good start for the smart ones. It involves you having the right information, knowledge and skills to set you apart from others.

Yesterday, someone booked a business consultation with me and I was glad that after the session, the person said I never knew business is beyond just buying and selling that there are structure/parameters like knowledge, skills etc involved, this is really an eye opener.

✍Knowledge is an essential part of any business, you need to know the nitty-gritty of the business. Even if you don’t know anything, learn from people who already have knowledge of the business. Also, you can learn from the Internet via YouTube, Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups etc.

“Get a mentor in the applicable field if you’re at all unsure of what you’re looking for.” – Kyle Bragger

🔥🔥🔥🔥You want to go far in your chosen line of business, you need to constantly look for ways of improving yourself and your product(s), keep yourself abreast with all the knowledge and information that will spur your business to greater heights.

When last have you done a training or bought a book that will guide you in your business?

Please kindly share your thought on this in the comment section.

Benefits of a registered business name.

Creating a business name that well represents your business is good but registering it with the appropriate authority is very important. For example in Nigeria, you register your business name with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Let me gist you!

When I started my business, the name I used was not approved by CAC during search, I had to change it to another name which cost some setbacks in the area of branding ie I have to do a total rebranding of all of my products.

Benefits of a registered business name

👉It helps to deal with trust issues from the side of the customer/client.

👉It connects your business with opportunities out there.

👉You can open a corporate bank account with your registered business name.

👉It brings professionalism to your business.

👉it brings about partnerships with other brands(big or small).

👉It gives your business legal protection.

👉It enhances your brand image credibility and perception of the business.

👉It gives your business access to loans from financial institutions.

👉It gives your business a unique identity.

👉 It protects you from personal liability.

👉It is important for continuity sake.

👌Most potential customers/client would rather deal with a company than deal with an individual because of trust and risks issues. I know of some who got a large supply contract but was asked to present a registered business name to get the contract but lost it because the business name was not registered at the time. Opportunity can knock at your door at any time, don’t let not having a registered business name rob you of it. A word is enough for the wise.

NB: Registration of business name is not as expensive as people think. You can do it yourself online or get a professional to help you out.

I know some people will say I don’t have money to do the needful, you want to know how I was able to raise the money on my own without the help of others. Grab a copy of my book for chikini money(your recharge card and subscription money).

☺😊😍🤩If you have not grab your copy of this book, what are you waiting for!

Knowledge is power, the knowledge you seek is in this book.

See in the comment section how you can get yours.

I trust you, I mean you because you will definitely invest in yourself through this book.

Thanks.

Service based businesses you can do.

When starting a business It is not advisable to start with a loan. The issue here is most people don’t want to start small. If you don’t have the money required to start the business you have always dreamt of, the solution is “starting a service based business”, which will help you to raise the capital you need.

What is a service based business?

It is a kind of business that requires your knowledge, skill or expertise which requires little or no capital. In the service based business, customers purchase the skills of a service provider or owner, such as a plumber or lawyer, This type of business has a strong emphasis on the client relationship and makes the customer’s user experience very important.

Some Service based business you can do

👉Residential Cleaning: All you need to do is approach people who don’t have the time to clean their houses and compound because of work. You can start from your neighbour hood to advertise to people. If you know your onions very well, you don’t have to do the cleaning yourself you can employ someone/people to do it for a token.

👉Website Designer: There is no business that does not need this service. Those who have theirs can tell how much this service cost. With specialized software, creating websites comes easy, so long as you have some basic technical and graphic savvy. You do this by helping businesses establish a site; existing clients will need help keeping their websites up-to-date, as well.

👉Home Decorating: Home in on the decorating business with your flair for design. Work with local furniture and accessory stores, paint shops, and carpet and drapery outlets to coordinate clients’ interiors. And remember: The key to getting in the door of this business is decorating your own home, first.

👉Sales Training: Don’t sell yourself short: with some self-promotion and marketing know-how, you could have what it takes to build your own business as a sales trainer. By sharing your sales savvy with other busy business owners, you not only help boost clients’ bottom line, but yours, too.

👉 Copywriting and Proofreading: If you are a creative writer with a knack for finding typos and mistakes, you can help people with their write-ups. Writers who help ensure clients’ advertising copy is both catchy and fault-free may not win a Pulitzer, but they will have some profits to write home about.

👉Language Translator: Falling foreign-trade barriers and improved communication technology translate into success for language translators and interpreters. An ear for multiple languages puts you at the forefront of this global movement.

👉Sales-Lead Generating: Streamline sales people’s efforts by identifying prospects and generating sales leads. Some footwork, market research(online and offline), and a phone set you on the path to compiling a list of potential customers for your clients. You can help businesses manage their social media to generate sales for them.

👉Digital Marketing: You could also go with a more generalized set of offerings, including content marketing, social media or online ads.

👉Life Coach: If you prefer working with people on an individual basis and offering a wide variety of tips and expertise, you could offer your services as a life coach.

👉Graphic Design: For those who are visually inclined, you can offer services for designing logos, branding and paper products for businesses or individuals.

👉Dropshipping: Dropshipping is a business model which you can use to run your store without ever holding any inventory. Once you’ve made a sale your supplier will ship your products from their warehouse, straight to your customer’s doorstep. It simply selling someone or people’s goods by adding your own profit.

An Egg Shell?

We all have one or more talents or gifts God has deposited in us all. The question here is;

What are you doing with that gift, talent, skill, knowledge God has blessed you with or deposited in you?

Do you just keep them to yourself or confined them in your shell?

Are you impacting lives with these deposits of God in you?

👉What is a shell?

It is something hard to covers something precious that is very useful.

For example, egg. The shell covers what is in the inside(egg white and yolk).

Most of us are just like an egg shell that store precious things that will be beneficial to people. Our shell could be shyness, low self esteem, communication skills, doubt, unbelief, lack of confidence etc.

For how long will you continue to be in that shell, stop being shy and confidently show those wonderful deposits of God in you. It is time to come out of that shell, there are people whose lifes needed to be imparted by your talents, gifts and knowledge.

Start now by show casing those deposits with individuals, small groups, your social media handles and with time the bigger platforms.

The world is waiting for your manifestation, I mean you 😁

What is your own shell?

If you have overcome it, please tell us how so that others can learn.

See you at the top😊

Thanks.

Many are called, few are chosen.

During an occassion/event, many people are invited but only few are VIP guests.

The few who are VIP guests enjoys some priviledges that others in the occasion/event don’t. They are given special treatment, favoured, honoured and treated with care and respect.

What differentiate few(VIPS) from many(others) is their identity and status or
class.

What does it mean to be among the few to be chosen? Matt 22:14

To be chosen is to accept the invitation and to do what is necessary to accept the invitation: to give up everything in this world. (Luke 9:23-24; Luke 14:26) That is, to say “Yes!” to the calling and then to follow it up with a faithful disciple life. God calls us, but those who are chosen are those who wholeheartedly accept the invitation and its conditions.

What is your status today?

Are you born again?

If christ comes today, will you be among those who will reign with Him in eternity?

Many are called to accept him as their personal lord and saviour and also walk with Him but only few will response to His call of salvation.

If you know you are ready to be among the few that will love to accept Jesus or re-dedicate your life to Him.

Please say after me

Lord Jesus please come into my life, wash all my sins away with your precious blood, I accept you as my personal lord and saviour.

A big congratulations to you!

Thanks.

My village people.

If you know you are not ready to take insults from customers or be patient with customers, please and please don’t be the face of your business.

You know why?

For customer’s retention and continuity except if you have decided that you only want one-off customers. But caution needs to be applied here, because if a customer has a bad experience with you or your brand, it is not a good thing for your business, if care is not taken it can even crumble the business.

What happens afterwards when your customers one after the other stop buying from you, you will start saying my village people have followed me o, they are the one behind it. Big lie!

The problem is not your village people you are the problem yourself. Remember a customer who had a bad experience with you or your brand will tell another potential customer about your attitude or how bad your brand is and vice versa.

I had a very terrible experience with a delivery company on Sunday.

This is the gist👎

A customer called Saturday afternoon to purchase one of our products and want it delivered that same day. I spoke to the delivery companies we usually use, all said they can’t cannot make it considering the time and it has rained. I went online to get another one, the delivery representative said ma we cannot do the delivery today(Saturday) but if you don’t mind can we do it on Sunday morning which I agreed to after informing our client. He requested that we pay upfront which we don’t do anymore because of previous disappointments from their end which has affected our business in a negative way.

The next day(Sunday), I called the delivery company, he said the rider is on his way, I waited till 12noon, the rider has not shown up. The delivery representative sent the number of the rider to me to find out where he is. I called the rider who told me he is somewhere far away contrary to what the delivery representative (man) told me. I called the delivery representative, who told me to ignore the rider that he is lying that he doesn’t know what he is saying which i later found out that the rider was the one telling the truth. When it was 3pm in the afternoon, I called the delivery representative, that he should let me know what the issue was and the next thing he spoke to me very very rudely as if the situation at hand is nothing that the rider will come. I just kept calm dealing with someone who is rude and talks without manners. I had to keep pacifying and apologising to our own client times without number that the package will be delivered before the end of the day.

To cut the long story short, the rider came pass 6pm in the evening and promised that the package will delivered right way. I paid their fee since I have seen the rider. Later on, I kept monitoring via calls, only for the delivery representative to tell me around pass 7pm that the rider will come to their office first before going to our client’s place, I had to ask him who does that, agreement is agreement even though you were super late, I paid you, then do your part of the agreement. The next thing he said “and so if you paid, are you the one that will tell me what to do” before I knew what happened, he cut the call. He sent me whatsapp messages insulting himself not me. I just have to calm myself not to response. Around 8: 30pm, a woman called me that they are sorry they will not be able to deliver the package that it will be done tomorrow and I said ok. I had to call our client to apologise for any inconveniences caused that the delivery will be done the next day which he consented to, Thank God!

I thought the delivery representative drama was over, the man kept sending me insulting messages via WhatsApp, called me on phone pass 11pm at night but i didn’t pick the call. The next day(morning), I tried to find out if they have done the delivery, He started his drama again but I didn’t response, i just kept calm that the objective here is for the package to be delivered and we will never deal with them again after this transaction. The woman who called last night called that morning that the package has been delivered. Thank God!

From my experience, I might be calm and let go but not everyone will be this calm. Others who has a bad experience with you or your brand might go as far as pulling down your business to any length. Not every customer is calm o, i know no brand wants is reputation to be damaged. It only takes one customer with a bad experience with your brand to damaged all your hard years of labour building your brand. Please let’s be guided.

This kind of person tomorrow when business begins to go bad, he will say his village people is behind it. But he is the problem of himself. May God help him o.

Do you know?

A customer who has a good experience with you or your brand will easily convince another potential customer because customers believe each other and their testimonial is one of the best way to market you or your brand.

Please let’s stop shouting or saying my village people for a problem caused by our own attitude and ego.

Remember customers are always right!

Communication, attitude, kind words and your manner of approach is key here. Please let’s learn how to use these things appropriately where necessary.

May God help us all.

Thanks.

Oluwakemi Asefeso

Your tone!

Our manner of approach in all we do in life is very important. It is very essential for those of us in business or in any profession to understand that your manner of approach to people is very crucial.

What is your tone?

Your tone is the way you speak or deal with people whether in a positive or negative way.

It is also your manner of approach to people.

Bussiness people hear this!

Your tone might be very reason why you are not able to close that business deal or even if you are lucky or able to close the business deal, you might not be able to retain your clients/customers for long.

I know some clients/customers can go overboard with their tone(negative) when making enquiries or purchasing your product, you just have to be calm and be professional in your tone. Remember, customers are right.

There is something I love about the customer care of network providers(Airtel, Etisalat, Glo and Mtn), is their calmness and professionalism. No matter your complain or agitation or being angry with an issue, they will always be professional and respond to you calmly, an keep apologising repeatedly until they are able to calm you down and resolve the issue.

Business owners, please learn from this people. If you know you can not control your tone in a positive way, please get someone whose tone is positive to handle your customers for you.

Please be careful the kind of tone you use for your clients/customers.

May God bless the works of your hands.
(Amen🙏)

Thanks.

What is that thing you don’t joke with?

Those who know me knows that I don’t joke with family and business. But the most important thing I don’t joke with is the salvation of my soul. My joy knows no bound knowing that Jesus is the horn of my salvation.

Are you saved today?

This life is vanity upon vanity.

Mark 8:36;What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loses his soul.

If there is one thing you shouldn’t joke with today is the salvation of your soul.

Another question is where will you spend your eternity?

Jesus is the only way for you to be saved. Tomorrow might be too late, He is knocking at door of your heart, please accept Him today.

This is the best decision ever.

Please say after me.

Lord Jesus please come into my life, wash all my sins away with your precious blood, I accept you as my personal lord and saviour.

It is settled.

A big congratulations to you!

Please I enjoin you to look for a bible believing church to strengthen your faith and relationship with God.

God bless you.

Thanks.
