I love doing business, it’s something I am passionate about, please permit me to say this, business is me, I am business🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

✍Some years ago after I completed my diploma in the University of Benin waiting for direct entry admission disappointment came while waiting despite the good grades, O lord I need admission became my prayer point. Since admission was not forth coming as earlier expected, I decided to take up a teaching job. Though I was working, my desire was to go back to school to get a degree, so i continued my prayer point of God providing admission for me.

✍One faithful evening, I, my mum and my siblings visited one of our family friend, upon getting to their house we met a man of God there and our family friend told the man to please pray for us. My mum quickly told him to pray for the admission I have been trusting God for. As the man of God was praying, he said in his words that admission is not an issue because God has settled it but he saw me doing business.

✍To be sincere, I doubted those words God spoke through the man of God because back then I could not comprehend how a person is told to pray for admission and the next thing he kept talking of business. I could not see a sign of me doing business in the first place because I had always wanted to be an Engineer and a lecturer.

✍While working in the school before I gained admission, one day a young lady came to the school to sell bead bags, purse, shoes, necklace earrings etc. In the midst of the buying and selling taking place, I thought within me what if I learn this because I was fascinated with the items she brought which was so beautiful. After she was done with everyone, I spoke to her about my intentions of learning bead making and within Four weeks (four saturdays) I was done with my training as a fast learner🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

💁🏼‍♀️Not quite long, God honoured His word and i gained admission into the University to get a degree.

✍In my year one I stayed in the school hostel, I started marketing beads to students in the hostel and school, trust me I got students to buy from me.

✍You know we students especially female students like cloths, we want to look our best. I noticed my friends don’t joke with buying of cloths, most of the time I and my friends will go to Yaba market to buy cloths and other things. One day I thought within me that what if I start selling cloths to my friends and also extend it to other students in the school. That was how I started going to China town to buy cloths after doing my research and I will bring it to school to sell. Unconsciously I found myself doing business, being passionate about it and have fallen in love with it.

✍Fast forward to 2012, I started Ck Sognatures Ltd. with liquid soap and now it has grown beyond what I started it with. I have learnt to trust God to lead me in this journey of business he has set my foot upon. Though I must confess sometimes there are low times but His leading has always be my succor to show me the way and get solution to bounce back.

✍Business is spiritual, you must trust God and God only to order your steps and lead you to take take actionable steps and decision that will spur your business to greater heights and the desired expected end.

👉Jeremiah 29: 11; “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thought of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

⚠️Year 2021is here again, that business you are doing that is not doing well or you are about to start a business, have you pray about it for God to lead you to what you ought to do, give you new ideas and inspirations?

👉Those who know their God shall be strong and do great exploit.

🙏🏾🙏🏾We shall all do great exploits in this year in Jesus name.

✍When I wanted to start my business some years ago, I was not buoyant enough to start the business because of the meagre amount of money I had considering the long gigantic list I have to start the business in the most perfect way. My chosen line of business was a highly capital intensive one. The meagre amount of money I had got me worried because I felt it could not start the business.

✍I summoned up courage that I will be myself and create my own unique way of doing the business, I don’t need to be others but be myself. This led to me telling myself I will start , it doesn’t have to be perfect from the start, with time the business will evolve.

👏🏽🙇‍♀️I am grateful to God that I started with the little oil I had with me N2000 + N1000 support from my mum at the time of purchase which means I started CK Signatures Ltd. with just N3000. My first order for the product(Liquid Soap) we started with was delivered with Indomie and biscuit carton I collected from a nearby shop to delivered the product because as at then I have no branded carton and the order went successfully..

✍Another product I started with a meagre amount of money, N3000 last year was Rice Poundo. The sticker I used on it was printed in black and white in a photocopy shop and i did photocopy of the printed copy, use shoe maker gum to stick it on the packaging nylon, then advertise it online and offline, you need to see how people bought the product even without the required sophisticated packaging and sticker. Today, the rice poundo has a better packaging and very colourful sticker, we have evolved.

✍Most of our products today, we started them all with meagre amount of money you will think cannot even start a business. We are better off than were we started some years old. We are a better version today and will keep evolving.

💁🏼‍♀️You can start your business right away, it does not have to be perfect from the start, just start with time things will fall in place.

👉Have that mindset that there is nothing you cannot achieve. You can achieve whatever you set your mind on, I mean YOU.

👉Do not despise the days of little beginnings.

✍You have people waiting for that solution(product/service) you have to offer, why keep them waiting. Start immediately, the rest they say is history and evolve with time.

Constantly seek knowledge and ways that will help you achieve result.

Just be yourself, use your own style and be unique to make the difference among so many other brands like yours.

IT’S A PROCESS.

A lot of us just want to start something today an expect great and wow result forgetting that business and life itself is a process.

I get some compliments from people on one of the products(Cliq Fresh Liquid Soap) I produce like amazing, clear content, nice packaging etc. but If only they knew that I have had negative feedbacks about the product. Some of the negative feedbacks are: the soap is not foaming well, when I used it, it discoloured my coloured plate etc. I did not just sit down and wallow in those negative feedbacks but used those feedbacks to make the product a better version of what it is today. We are currently using our seventh formular for the liquid soap today which we have tremendous positive feedback. Most people ask me today your Liquid soap is always shining and crystal clear, foams well and no side effect. How was this achieved?

All was achieved through prayer, consistency, perseverance, research and leveraging on the power of feedbacks(Positive/Negative).

Each time you are faced with difficulties in your life or business , do you just say to yourself it’s better I quit and start something else, forgetting that the something else you want to do has it’s own ups and downs. Life is a process and happens in phases, what will be your story if you decide to give up at each time you are faced with challenges.

The challenges you are facing now will pass because there is a solution out there to it which you need to discover. There are people who were once in your shoes and overcame during their time, find out what they did and with prayers of course, you will see yourself on the winning side.

Each time you are faced with challenges, follow every process you need to follow, don’t skip any step because its builds you and pays off at the end.

There are certain things in life that does not come by mere wishing but by taking actionable steps.

Whatever you want to see or the transformation you want to happen you need to take actionable steps.

The bible says faith without works is dead.
I am a woman of prayer, it is already part of me. One thing I know is, it’s good to pray but you must work or take actionable steps.

Sometimes this year I attended a free webinar on Whatsapp, titled: HOW TO MONETIZE YOUR TALENTS. From the training, I discover that I have not been making good use of some of my talents like writing. Writing is one of the talent God has blessed me with which most people are not aware of and it is time to get it out there. After the webinar, the trainer asked us to sign up for her paid course to know the technical know-how of the above topic. I did not have the money at the time to sign up immediately and time too was another issue but I added it to the list of what I will like to learn this year.

Lockdown came and I enrolled for the training which lasted for a month. My coach said at the beginning of the training that before the end of the one month your book should be ready. It sounds tasking and challenging. But during that period, I was doing serious night vigils to meet up with the time given because we have goals set for each week to achieve. My eldest daughter whenever she wakes up at night most times, she will ask me mummy are you still awake at this hour, please try and get some sleep. But the goal getter in me will not let me be until I achieve my goal.

That’s was how I wrote my book within the space of one month.

You know why?

👉I was hungry for success.
👉I was hungry for greatness.
👉I was hungry to influence and impact my world.
👉I was hungry to share my knowledge.
👉I was hungry to be one of the solution to the so many problems out there.
👉I was hungry to be an inspiration.
👉I was hungry to mentor.
👉I was hungry to leave a legacy.

When I wanted to start my business some years ago, they were things I used to guide myself in my choice of business.

They are what I call “PSF”
👉Passion: Whatever I am going to do must be something I am passionate about.
👉Solution driven: It must be something that solves a problem.
👉Financial freedom: I must make money and a living out of it..

Today these three things have been my pivotal in business. Any business that will not meet these criteria is a no no for me.

You see passion is the most important out of these three because this has kept me going in my business even in down times. Passion makes you forge ahead and make the impossible possible in your business. It propels you to look for ways to solve every problem or obstacle that comes your way.

Like I said in one of my previous post that business is not for the faint hearted and it goes beyond buying and selling.

If money is the only driving force in that business of yours, you might not last long in business.

The question here is

What do you see before you start your business or when you start your business?

Do you project the future of your business even from your little beginning?

When I was considering registering my business name with CAC, I had two options to consider, business name and a limited liability company. I chose the limited liability even though I did not have the money for it at the time but was able to raise the money all by myself later, you want to know how I did it, get my book on “how to start and grow a work from home business.”

At the point of registration, I did not limit my company to just one line of business even though I started with manufacturing (Production of Liquid Soap) but included so many other things.

You know why?

It is not all about my starting point but were I wanted to see the company in the future.

I did not limit my vision because i know some opportunities will come knocking, what will be my excuse then? I just told myself though the money for a limited liability company is expensive, i just have to do the right thing because opportunity meets preparedness.

That business you want to start or you are doing, where do you see it in the next 5years, 10years and the nearest future.

Bussiness has gone beyond trial and error. No doubt, is good to keep try something till you achieve results but it comes with a lot of costs and the time you spent on it can’t be over emphasised.

I have heard a lot of people say why should I pay money to acquire knowledge or skill when I can get it from some plattforms for free. No doubt some of these plattforms are very good places to acquire knowledge or skills but one thing you should know is that you can’t get a 100% knowledge of what you want for Free because Free version knowledge comes with a lot of limitations whether you like it or not. I have been there and am talking from experience.

The difference between you who rely on these platforms and the person who pays money for trainings, books or to acquire knowledge is that the persons gets to add some secrets(more knowledge) of executing the business you will not find in these platforms.

The word here is “Execution”. It’s another thing to acquire knowledge and another thing to excute it. This is where the paid trainings, the books you bought and mentorship are needed.

You see some people doing well and wondering if its magic or rocket science, it is not. If you take your time to find out why they are doing well, you will discover they spend money investing in books, materials or trainings that will make them a better version of themselves and single them out of the crowd.

One of my goal for this year is to be a better version of myself. One of the ways I am achieving this goal is through trainings and books. The way I have been paying for one training or the other this year is not funny o but the bottom line is I have a goal to achieve.
